Kids Learning DV is designed to be a safe educational experience. We collect minimal information necessary to operate the app.

Account Information

• Email address (for account creation and verification)
• Username / display name chosen by the user
• Avatar selection (no photos are collected)
• Password (stored securely — hashed, never plain text)

Learning & Progress Data

• Quiz scores and correct/incorrect answers per subject
• Stars earned and achievements unlocked
• Daily learning streaks and session timestamps
• Subject preference and completion percentages

Technical Data (Automatic)

• Device type and operating system version
• App version and crash reports (for bug fixing)
• Language and region settings

We use collected information solely to provide and improve the educational experience:

• To create and manage user accounts securely
• To track learning progress and display achievements
• To send daily reminder notifications (only if enabled by user)
• To restore progress if the app is reinstalled
• To diagnose and fix technical issues and crashes
• To improve content and learning modules over time

Kids Learning DV is an educational app primarily used by children. We take children's privacy extremely seriously and comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Our Commitments

• We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent
• Account creation is designed to be overseen by a parent or guardian
• No behavioral advertising is directed at children
• No social features (chat, messaging, public profiles) are available to children
• No in-app purchases are required; the coin shop is for cosmetic rewards only

Parental Rights

• Parents may request to review their child's personal data at any time
• Parents may request deletion of their child's account and all associated data
• Parents may withdraw consent and have data removed by contacting us

Where Data Is Stored

• Account data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers
• Learning progress is stored locally on your device via encrypted SharedPreferences
• Firebase data centers are located in the United States and/or European Union

Security Measures

• All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• Passwords are hashed using Firebase Auth — we never store plain-text passwords
• Firebase Authentication handles all login security with industry-standard protocols
• We regularly review and update our security practices

Data Retention

• Account data is retained as long as the account is active
• Deleted accounts have all associated data removed within 30 days
• Crash logs are automatically purged after 90 days

Kids Learning DV uses the following trusted third-party services to power core functionality:

Firebase (Google LLC)

• Firebase Authentication — secure login and account management
• Firebase Firestore / Realtime DB — cloud data storage
• Firebase is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Google Sign-In

• Optional Google account login
• Only basic profile info (name, email, photo) is accessed if used

Google Fonts

• Fredoka and Nunito fonts are loaded from Google Fonts CDN
• This may log your IP address per Google's standard CDN terms

Current State

• No ads are shown in the current version of the app
• The learning experience is clean and distraction-free
• No advertising SDKs are currently integrated

Future Advertising (If Introduced)

• We may integrate age-appropriate, non-intrusive ads in future versions
